The first involves Igneous Petrology and Volcanology which are combined in the study of a large volcanic center – the Sierra Quemada Caldera – in Big Bend National Park, Texas. Environmental concerns include primarily research on ground water in southern Louisiana and Radon levels through the Gulf Coast.
